Small Wonders: Reimagining British Art

A Hayward Gallery Touring exhibition of 50 British Art Show artists each creating a new small-scale work, at The Base this autumn.

Hayward Gallery Touring marks 75 years since the Festival of Britain with an exhibition of 50 artists who have taken part in the British Art Show since 1979. Inspired by Marcel Duchamp's La Boîte-en-Valise, each artist has made a new small-scale work responding to their original British Art Show presentation, together forming a condensed overview of half a century of British art. The exhibition includes a video containing adult language and references to sex and the COVID-19 pandemic. Relaxed Days, a Family Day and Gallery Lates are scheduled during the run.
