Life Drawing with the East London Strippers Collective

A fortnightly untutored life drawing class at an East London pub where models from the East London Strippers Collective pose, pole-dance and perform striptease.

Hosted by the East London Strippers Collective, this fast-paced life drawing session combines traditional 5, 10 and 15 minute poses with aerial pole poses and a 'strip-freeze' striptease routine interspersed with one-minute poses, plus an audience participation exercise with multiple figures. All models are experienced strippers or sex workers, and the class aims to destigmatise sex work and centre labour rights while giving artists a chance to draw performers in a former strip pub. Sessions are led but not tutored, welcoming all levels of ability, with paper and materials available for a £2.50 donation. Each date features a different model from the collective's lineup.
