Simon Yates of Touching the Void - Pleasure and Pain (new talk)

Simon Yates, a veteran mountaineer, returns to MacArts to discuss his latest adventures and challenges on the world's most remote peaks.

The talk covers the mountaineer's story from the last decade, focusing on new climbs in the far north and south, as well as summits in South America, Central Asia, and the Himalayas. A key part of the narrative involves a challenging expedition in Tajikistan where he faced severe weather and a serious fall.
