Fernhurst Fawkes 2026

A family bonfire and fireworks evening in Fernhurst raising money for the village's new permanent Christmas tree and the Recreation Ground Trust.

The fourth annual Fernhurst Fawkes is a community bonfire night on a field off Hawksfold Lane East, featuring a big bonfire, fireworks, glowsticks and kids' toys. Food and drink come from the Red Lion, including hot food, a bar and pizzas, and children under 12 can enter a 'Bring a Guy' competition. The evening runs for two hours and raises funds for the new permanent Fernhurst Village Christmas Tree and the Recreation Ground, with children welcome if supervised and dogs allowed. Visitors should bring warm clothes, torches and footwear suitable for a field, and park in the village as there is no parking on site.
