Shazia Mirza

Shazia Mirza brings a new stand-up show about expectations, identity and respectability, drawing on her experience as a Muslim woman, teacher and performer.

The show looks at how people are judged for the way they live and speak, including the label “prude”. Mirza frames the material through her experiences in Birmingham, East End schools and show business. The Beck Theatre gives age guidance of 14+; under-16s must be accompanied by an adult.
