Archivist Elena Carter provides insight into the cataloguing and care of the archive of artist Audrey Amiss.
Audrey Amiss documented her everyday life through a visual diary consisting of hundreds of sketches, paintings, scrapbooks, and diaries. Her archive was donated to the Wellcome Collection. Elena Carter, a Collections Development Lead at Wellcome, discusses the process of cataloguing and caring for this collection. The exhibition 'Audrey Amiss: Kitchen Sink Realism' is on display at the Northern Gallery for Contemporary Art.
