A walking tour exploring Norwich's medieval history, from the Norman period to the Tudors, starting at the Erpingham Gate.
This walking tour celebrates Norwich Castle's Royal Palace Reborn project by exploring the city's medieval past. The tour begins at the 15th century Erpingham Gate in Tombland, covering the great Norman Cathedral and the ancient Maids Head Hotel. Participants will learn about Norwich's numerous medieval churches and the largest surviving Friary complex before concluding with a view of Norwich Castle from above the Market Place.
