John Hegley: Uses of Idiocy

Comic poet and musician John Hegley returns to the Samuel Worth Chapel with festive verses, songs, stories and drawings exploring the many forms of idiocy.

John Hegley brings his show Uses of Idiocy to the Samuel Worth Chapel, an evening of sung and spoken verses, stories, drawings and myths exploring the word's origins and modern meanings. The show promises vegetable-based items, possibly including cabbage-leaf-lurching, with illustrations by Isabella di Stefano, and audience participation is welcome. Devised for adults but not unsuitable for the odd nine-year-old, it is a volunteer-led fundraising event for Sheffield General Cemetery Trust.
