About

A new comedy play about Paul O'Grady's rise from Birkenhead to drag stardom as Lily Savage, starring Danny Beard.

SAVAGE is a new comedy play about Lily Savage, the alter ego of Paul O'Grady, created with his blessing and inspired by his life. Written by Jonathan Harvey and directed by Nikolai Foster, it follows Paul's journey from Birkenhead to London's club scene, where he created the fearless drag persona who became a British icon. Danny Beard, winner of RuPaul's Drag Race UK, stars in the title role in this touring production ahead of the West End. Recommended for ages 14+, with strong language and adult themes.
