Born Survivors: Wendy Holden in conversation with Eva Clarke
About
Author Wendy Holden discusses Born Survivors with Holocaust survivor Eva Clarke, exploring the stories of mothers and babies who survived the Nazi concentration camps.
Holden explains how she came to write about three mothers who concealed their pregnancies from the Nazis, including Eva Clarke’s mother. Clarke, born at Mauthausen shortly before liberation, joins the author in conversation. The evening also addresses Holden’s work recording other Holocaust histories, including The Teacher of Auschwitz. Signed books will be available to buy; book purchases do not establish an admission charge. The official listing provides a ticket-booking form but no stated admission price, duration or finish time.
