The Muppets put their spin on Dickens’s Christmas story, with Michael Caine as Scrooge and Brian Henson directing. Winchester Science Centre’s Starlight Cinema screening uses the Planetarium’s curved screen and starts at 17:45 on 19 December; its exact finish is unpublished. At The Beehive, the Thursday Matinee Club screening on 17 December starts at 14:00 and includes a hot drink, biscuits and a post-film chat.

Thinktank Planetarium screening: The Muppets retell Charles Dickens’s A Christmas Carol, with Michael Caine as Ebenezer Scrooge. This film is presented on Thinktank’s big cinema screen inside the dome, rather than as a full-dome film. The film is rated U. Main museum doors open at 4pm; enter at the Level 0 main entrance and show your ticket at the welcome desk. You can explore the museum before the screening. Planetarium doors on Level 3 open at 4:25pm. The film starts promptly at 4:30pm, with no trailers; late entry may be difficult. Advance booking is essential because places are limited, and seating is unallocated.

Coronation Hall, 16 Halfleet, Market Deeping — 21 November 2026: this indoor pop-up screening starts the feature at 19:00, with no trailers or pre-show adverts. Certificate U; published running time approximately 89 minutes. Adults £3; children free. Visitors are encouraged to bring snacks and a cushion, and may wear a Christmas jumper or festive outfit. Free parking is available at the Halfleet Road car park. Presented as part of South Kesteven District Council’s programme of events and activities.
