Winchester 10K
About
A one-lap closed-road 10K road race through Winchester and nearby villages, starting outside Winchester Guildhall.
The Winchester 10K is a long-running road race dating back to 1983, when it was run over 10 miles, adopting the 10km format in the late 1980s. Runners follow a single-lap closed-road route starting outside Winchester Guildhall by the King Alfred Statue, heading out towards Kingsworthy and returning through Headbourne Worthy to finish at The North Walls Recreation Centre. The course mixes urban streets with countryside parkland, and the event typically draws over 1,500 runners. Registration opens at 07:15 with a mass start at 08:30 and the course closing at 10:30; entry includes chip timing and a finisher medal, with a no-medal option also available.
