Queer Fiction Reading Group

An inclusive reading group discussing LGBTQIA+ literature, this session covering Gore Vidal's 1948 novel The City and the Pillar.

Sanna's Queer Fiction Reading Group is an inclusive gathering open to anyone interested in reading and discussing LGBTQIA+ literature, from overlooked queer classics to contemporary literary fiction. For this spring session the group reads Gore Vidal's The City and the Pillar, a landmark 1948 novel following Jim Willard as he pursues his first love through the hidden gay world of 1940s America, from wartime military life to New York's underworld bar culture. Doors open at 6.10pm for a 6.30pm start.
