Psalms of the People

A documentary following musician Rob MacNeacail on a road trip through Scotland and Ireland, sharing his passion for Gaelic Psalm singing with the people he encounters.

Sailm nan Daoine (Psalms of the People) is a documentary directed by Jack Archer that centres on Gaelic Psalm singing, a distinctive tradition of unaccompanied communal worship. Musician Rob MacNeacail travels across Scotland and Ireland, meeting people along the way to share songs, stories and his enthusiasm for the form. The film captures both the music itself and the living culture that keeps it alive.
