10-17s 'Diplomacy' Megagame

A three-hour strategy megagame for 10-17 year olds in which players command early 20th-century European powers, forging and betraying alliances to dominate.

Young people take command of the armies of Europe at the start of the 20th century, playing as Great Britain, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Austria-Hungary or the Ottoman Empire. The session involves balancing uneasy alliances with ambitious offensives to control the majority of alliances, with betrayal described as inevitable. Aimed at young people who enjoy strategic games and teamwork, the session runs for three hours and is one of several half-term activities at the centre.
