About

Free SEND family sessions for ages 3–18, with stories, Makaton, crafts, music, a giant train track and an inflatable course.

Families of children with special educational needs and disabilities can choose either session at The King’s Church: 12:30–14:00 or 14:30–16:00. The programme includes sand art; Sally Simms reading from her Heartkin series and signing copies; Makaton signs with Makaton Jenny; games and crafts led by the church; a separate inflatable assault course; and Trackmaster Sussex’s giant train-track set-up. The sessions are for ages 3–18, with priority for families in Burgess Hill and nearby villages. Places are free but must be booked, one ticket per family. Under-16s must attend with a parent or carer; older attendees may take part independently if they can do so without that support, and a responsible adult must remain on site.
