Even the Devil Has Demons

A rave-inspired contemporary dance work by Caitlin Barnett exploring Britain's boarding schools and political leadership.

Caitlin Barnett's dance piece uses pumping, adrenaline-filled movement and an original techno-inspired soundtrack to evoke a bad trip or bad dream. Political leaders enter a pulsing, rave-like space and shuffle alongside the demons of their past, present and future. The work examines how Britain's private boarding schools, long seen as training grounds for political leadership, leave lasting marks whose damage trickles down. The performance runs about 55 minutes.
