Night at the Museum: Haunted Tales by Candlelight
About
A candlelit Hallowe'en evening of ghost stories and legends at the Trimontium Museum, from Samhain and Roman Lemuria to Medusa.
This special Hallowe'en event takes place in the museum's candlelit gallery, where storytellers share tales of hauntings, monsters and strange traditions spanning two millennia — from the Celtic festival of Samhain and the Roman rituals of Lemuria to local legends of the Eildon Hills and Thomas the Rhymer. The evening features storyteller Nicola Agricola alongside a ghostly Roman soldier character, with new twists for 2026 including an encounter with Medusa. Tickets include museum entry and a complimentary Hallowe'en cocktail or mocktail; the event is suitable for ages 12 and over.
