Friday Pottery Club

A Friday afternoon pottery club at The Pottery in Builth Wells where participants learn hand-building and wheel-throwing techniques with Alex Allpress.

Friday Pottery Club is a hands-on pottery class at The Pottery in Builth Wells. Sessions introduce the basics of working with clay, including different clay types, preparation and essential tools, starting with hand-building techniques such as pinching, coiling and slab building before progressing to wheel throwing. Alex Allpress demonstrates each step and participants have plenty of time to practise shaping and moulding clay while learning how it behaves wet and dry. The session runs from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm and advance booking is required.
