Saxophonist and composer Matt Carmichael returns to St George's Bristol with a lineup of improvisers to perform his latest album Held in the Dark. The album reflects the experience of supporting a loved one through health struggles, blending jazz improvisation with the intimacy and guitar-led soundscapes of indie-folk and singer-songwriter music. The band features Charlie Stewart on fiddle, James Mackay on guitars, Ali Watson on bass and Corrie Dick on drums, with piano to be confirmed.
