A 70th-anniversary railway commemoration with a special train, an invited address from the Stephenson Locomotive Society and the dedication of the Oliver Veltom Room.

The programme begins at 13:00. Brian Dotson joins invited guests for the 13:45 headboard unveiling and short address. The train leaves Llanfair at 14:00, calls at Castle Caereinion at 15:45 and returns to Llanfair at 16:30, followed by an address from General Manager James Brett. At 17:00 invited guests gather for the dedication of the Oliver Veltom Room, led by David Plume. The organiser expects the event to conclude by 18:00, but does not give an exact finish time. Drinks follow the dedication.
