Scottish Catholic and Episcopalian Church Relations

The Scottish Catholic Historical Association's 2026 annual conference explores three centuries of relations between Roman Catholics and Scottish Episcopalians, from early eighteenth-century 'popery' controversies to the ecumenical developments that led to the St Ninian Declaration of 2025. Speakers including keynote lectures by Professor Charlotte Methuen and Professor Scott Spurlock present papers on scholarship, liturgy and Christian reunion. The day runs 10am to 4pm with lunch included, and welcomes historians, clergy, students and anyone interested in Scottish religious history.
