Bobbin Lace Taster Class with The Lace Up

A beginner-friendly bobbin lacemaking taster workshop where participants learn core stitches and leave with a finished piece of lace.

The Lace Up hosts a guest bobbin lace taster class for complete beginners, introducing the fundamental stitches of the traditional craft: the cross, the twist, the whole stitch, the half stitch, and the whole stitch and twist. Each stitch builds on the last, so participants gradually gain confidence over the three-hour session. All materials are provided, including bobbins, a lace pillow, pins, threads and a pattern, and everyone leaves with a completed piece of beginner's lace.
