About
A lunchtime tribute concert celebrating the life and legacy of Liverpool musician Joseph Ankrah, founding member of The Chants.
This lunchtime concert honours Joseph Ankrah, a pioneering Black Liverpool musician and founding member of The Chants, who performed alongside The Beatles in the 1960s and mentored generations of Liverpool musicians. The event combines live performance with reflection and remembrance, and is presented in connection with the exhibition Toxteth: The Harlem of Europe at the Victoria Gallery & Museum. It forms part of the Yoko Ono Lennon Lunchtime Concert Series and is presented in partnership with Decks In The City.
