Antarang Presents – When Strings Speak – A Journey Across Rhythm, Voice and Dance

A cross-cultural evening blending Hindustani and Western violin, vocals, flamenco guitar and dance, with Kathak and Odissi, plus a Diwali curtain raiser.

Antarang presents When Strings Speak, a cross-cultural production combining Hindustani violin and vocals, Western violin, flamenco guitar and dance, and the classical Indian dance forms of Kathak and Odissi. Rooted in classical traditions, the performance reimagines heritage through a contemporary lens. The evening opens with a curtain raiser at 7pm featuring children from Watford's Pandav Vidhya Shaala School celebrating Diwali, lasting about half an hour, after which the audience vacates and is re-admitted for the main show at 8pm, running approximately two hours including an interval. All ages are welcome.
