Stoke Pero Carol Service

A guided Exmoor walk led by Gill Campbell to the candlelit carol service at the tiny church of Stoke Pero, with refreshments afterwards.

Walk leader Gill Campbell guides a 2½-mile easy walk (with a 1½-mile self-guided option) to the annual carol service at Stoke Pero church. The first half loops through Cloutsham Farm, crossing Prickslade Combe with views to Porlock Bay, arriving at the candlelit church as the light fades. After the service, walkers return along a surfaced lane to Cloutsham Gate, with stargazing possible in this remote, low-light-pollution location; refreshments are served after the carols.
