Leicester Symphony Orchestra: Lord Mayor of Leicester's Concert Rhapsody in Blue

The Leicester Symphony Orchestra plays Gershwin, Copland and Bernstein in the Lord Mayor of Leicester's Concert, preceded by a free piano masterclass.

The Leicester Symphony Orchestra's Lord Mayor of Leicester's Concert pairs Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue with Copland's Fanfare for A Common Man (Symphony No. 3) and Bernstein's Candide Overture, blending blues, jazz and classical styles. Keelan Carew appears as piano soloist with Dexter Drown conducting. Before the concert, a free piano masterclass at 2pm offers a limited number of pre-booked places, with a select few participants coached directly by Carew.
