1327 and the City of London Exhibition

A free Guildhall Art Gallery display explores how the upheaval surrounding Edward III’s accession in 1327 appears in the records and civic life of medieval London.

Curated by The London Archives, the display follows the political transition from Edward II to Edward III through the records of medieval London. Highlights include Andrew Horn’s Liber Horn and will, Edward III’s charter confirming the City’s rights, Letter Book E, and the Great Chronicle of London.
