Walking Tour – Warrior Women of Whitehall
About
A guided walking tour through Westminster and Whitehall meeting the queens, politicians, campaigners and spies who changed history.
This guided walk, led by Marie Helly of Footprints of London, explores 2,000 years of history along Westminster and Whitehall, telling the stories of women who fought for the vote, equal pay, their religion and their country. Participants hear about politicians, queens, campaigners and spies — from the warrior queen who fought the Romans to the suffragette protests at Parliament Square and Churchill's favourite spy. The tour lasts about 1 hour 40 minutes and passes monuments and buildings marking these women's achievements, meeting outside Exit One from Westminster Tube.
