Creative Connections: Blue Xmas Cyanotype Workshop

A free cyanotype workshop for isolated adults over 60 in the Western Isles, making deep blue Xmas greeting cards with artist Mark Jones.

Artist Mark Jones introduces the cyanotype photographic process: participants coat paper, make exposures and create deep blue images using natural elements, found objects and prepared Xmas templates, which can be turned into greeting cards. The four-hour session is part of Creative Connections, a programme of free creative workshops for adults over 60 in the Western Isles who experience isolation through remoteness, disability or other disadvantage. The project is funded by the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund.
