Blackheart Orchestra

Multi-instrumental duo the Blackheart Orchestra return to Crediton Arts Centre for an evening of contemporary rock performed on up to 13 instruments.

The Blackheart Orchestra are British multi-award-winning multi-instrumentalists Chrissy Mostyn and Rick Pilkington, recent winners of the UK Rising Stars of Progressive Music Award. Performing from their onstage 'musical space station', the duo play up to 13 instruments including guitars, bass, bowed guitar, piano, organ, vintage synthesisers, omnichord, melodica, glockenspiel and electric percussion. Their emotional contemporary rock draws on influences from Sigur Ros and Kate Bush to composers Steve Reich and Philip Glass, blending folk, rock, electronica and classical. This is their fourth return to the Arts Centre following the success of their single 'Bloodlines'.
