Kingsbury Coffee Morning: Letters to Miss Baker

A coffee morning explores more than 500 wartime letters exchanged between Miss Daisy Baker and former pupils serving overseas.

Miss Daisy Baker taught at Kingsbury County School during the Second World War and kept in touch with former pupils serving overseas. More than 500 letters were rediscovered in 2017 and later became the basis for the book Letters to Miss Baker. The coffee morning explores the correspondence and the wartime experiences it records.
