Beth Steel's play blends comedy and tragedy in the story of a tight-knit, working-class family gathered on a scorching summer day for the wedding of youngest daughter Sylvia to Marek, a Polish immigrant. As the vodka flows, long-held secrets, raw passions and cultural tensions rise to the surface, threatening to tear the family apart.
