The Biba Look: Photography and Fashion
About
An exhibition of original photographs from Barbara Hulanicki's Biba archive, tracing the fashion brand's golden years alongside garments from its iconic catalogues.
This exhibition explores the creativity, style and influence of Biba during its golden years, focusing on the photographic catalogues through which Barbara Hulanicki brought the brand into people's homes in the 1960s. It showcases original photographs from Hulanicki's archive, many never previously seen publicly, created with celebrated photographers of the era including Hans Feurer, Sarah Moon, Helmut Newton, Harri Peccinotti and Donald Silverstein. Visitors can also see one iconic garment from each of the six catalogues.
