The Glenfiddich Piping Championship
About
Ten of the world's top solo pipers compete at Blair Castle in the 53rd Glenfiddich Piping Championship, playing piobaireachd and light music.
Established in 1974, the Glenfiddich Piping Championship brings together ten qualifiers from the season's major competitions to play ceòl mòr (great music) and ceòl beag (light music) in a single day of solo piping. The 53rd edition takes place at Blair Castle, Blair Atholl, with performances starting at 10am. Competitors include 2025 overall winner Stuart Liddell alongside qualifiers from events such as the Northern Meeting and Argyllshire Gathering. A livestream with commentary is available for those unable to attend, and an evening Pipers' Ceilidh black tie dinner follows at the Atholl Place Hotel.
