Children's Tour - Behind The Scenes of Castle Fraser

A one-hour children's behind-the-scenes tour of Castle Fraser exploring secret spaces, hidden trapdoors and rarely seen collection items.

This shorter, child-friendly version of the castle's Behind the Scenes Tour takes families through secret spaces normally closed to the public, opening trapdoors and cupboards and showing lesser-known collection items. Children follow a trail as they explore, and the tour also explains how the castle is cared for over winter and the ongoing conservation work. It lasts about an hour, covers six floors via steep spiral staircases, and is aimed at ages 4–11, with all children accompanied by an adult.
