Fused Glass Christmas Decorations (or Non Christmas - It's Your Choice)
About
A two-hour fused glass workshop where participants design Christmas decorations or a non-festive double curve piece, with items kiln-fused afterwards.
Contemporary Craft Collective hosts a hands-on fused glass workshop at Christ Church in Weston-super-Mare, suitable for complete beginners and those with some experience. Participants can make either two Christmas shapes (a 15x7cm tree and a 7cm bauble) or a single 23x7cm piece melted into a double curve, with non-Christmas designs equally welcome. Sarah Quick and Sarah Aumayer guide attendees through basic glass cutting and design techniques, and pieces are taken away to be kiln-fused for collection a couple of weeks later. This is one of the collective's final workshops together, as Sarah Quick is retiring at the end of the year; bookings are for ages 16 and over.
