Coastwatch Scotland - Irvine Charity Polar Plunge 2027

A charity polar plunge on New Year's Day where participants take a sponsored dip in the Firth of Clyde to raise money for their chosen charity.

Now in its ninth year, the Coastwatch Charity Polar Plunge invites individuals, families and community groups to take a chilly dip in the Firth of Clyde at 12 noon on New Year's Day. Participants sign up, gather sponsors and choose which charity or community group receives the funds they raise. The beach event includes registration from 10:30, car park entertainment, a welcome and warm-up before the plunge, and a complimentary bowl of hot soup afterwards while supplies last. Under-16s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
