Gabrieli Roar Presents Mr Handel’s Christmas Story
About
Gabrieli’s Baroque orchestra and singers join London school and youth choirs for a Christmas programme adapted from Handel’s oratorios.
A newly assembled oratorio retells the Christmas story through adapted and re-texted Handel music, including highlights from Messiah and a final Hallelujah chorus. The concept is credited to Gabrieli artistic director Paul McCreesh; no separate claim that he conducts this performance is made. Local school and youth choirs join the professional ensemble, with individual participants not yet named. The cathedral lists tickets from £18, while the linked organiser says ticket release is pending. The finish time is unpublished.
