About
The Mighty septet Rebop performs a live rendition of Oliver Nelson’s 1961 classic album, The Blues and the Abstract Truth.
The Mighty septet Rebop revisits the moody, modal masterpiece, The Blues and the Abstract Truth, originally released by saxophonist and composer Oliver Nelson in 1961. The performance features a septet lineup including Paul Higgs on trumpet and Harry Greene on tenor sax. The music is a tribute to the original ensemble that featured Bill Evans, Eric Dolphy, and Freddie Hubbard.
