About
A practical training course develops skills in canal boat handling.
A practical one-day course covers boat handling and safety on UK inland waterways for beginners and people refreshing their experience. Qualified NCBA trainers or mentors teach aboard the narrowboat Black Pearl, with up to four trainees. Arrive at 09:00 for tuition beginning at 09:30. The published header and body disagree on the finish time, so the end remains unknown. At least two bookings are needed for the course to run. The course is non-certificated, with an in-house attendance certificate available; bring suitable boating clothing and a packed lunch.
