Matt Copson

Matt Copson's first major UK solo exhibition at Serpentine North presents a labyrinth of new works spanning laser animation, sculpture, animatronics and sound.

The exhibition centres on Robin Hood, the folkloric noble outlaw, and takes the form of a labyrinth inspired by theme park rides. Visitors move through new works incorporating laser projection, sculpture, animatronics and audio pieces. Copson's practice draws on myth, folklore and pop culture to explore contemporary life shaped by spectacle and constant flux. This is his first major institutional solo presentation in the UK.
