Coltrane & Hartmann On Impulse featuring Mark Lockheart & Marvin Muoneke

Mark Lockheart and vocalist Marvin Muoneké revisit John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman's 1963 Impulse album of romantic standards with a jazz rhythm section.

Tenor saxophonist Mark Lockheart leads a tribute to the 1963 John Coltrane and Johnny Hartman album, joined by vocalist Marvin Muoneké, bassist Gary Crosby, pianist Alex Webb and drummer Alfonso Vitale. The set features songs from the Grammy Hall of Fame album alongside other Coltrane-associated standards including All Or Nothing At All, Out Of This World, Say It Again and vocal versions of Moment's Notice and After The Rain. Muoneké, nominated in the 2026 JazzFM Awards, has a sound likened to Nat 'King' Cole and Johnny Hartman.
