Wirral Archaeology CIC hosts a full-day, in-person conference on the Vikings and Anglo-Saxons in Wirral, examining why many academics favour the peninsula as the site of the legendary Battle of Brunanburh. The programme includes talks from experts on local lore, artefacts and place-name evidence, with sessions such as 'Quizzing Wirral's Early Medieval Stones' and 'Finding Brunanburh: History & Place Name Evidence'. Doors open at 8:45 AM, the event runs seven hours and is aimed at adults aged 18 and over.
