About
A guided walking tour exploring the hidden underground history of the City of London, from sewers and Roman remains to the Tube.
Marilyn Greene of Footprints of London leads a two-hour walk examining what lies beneath the City of London. The route covers the development of the Underground, the embanking of the Thames, the lost River Fleet, sewers, water conduits, burial sites and archaeological remains. The walk starts at Blackfriars and finishes by London Bridge at the site of the first deep-level tube station.
