Manipulate Arts - Scottish Shorts

A showcase of contemporary animated short films by Scottish-based animators, screened as part of Manipulate Arts' Autumn Animation Season.

This screening celebrates Scotland's animation scene with a programme of contemporary shorts from Scottish-based animators, ranging from experimental works to imaginative storytelling and social commentary. The selection forms the first In Competition strand from Manipulate Festival 2026, which was won by Ana Songel's Peace of Heart. The programme includes films such as Distance to the Moon, Making Mountains, The Jubilee, Veni Vidi Non Vici, Porkhampton, Room Temperature, Growin' Pains, Fairground Fever, Creche and Burn and Peace of Heart, with content notes ranging from swearing to depictions of animal cruelty.
