Stella Constantinou: The Sun Remembers Her
About
An exhibition of paintings by Stella Constantinou spanning 15 years of her practice, accompanied by her poetry.
The Sun Remembers Her spans 15 years of Stella Constantinou's creative practice, showing her paintings alongside her poetry so that image and language interact throughout. Her work explores themes of recovery and transformation — recurring imagery includes bricks as the weight she carries, crows linking to memory and time, and the acorn as a symbol of possibility, drawing on her experience of chronic fatigue and the role of Clitterhouse Park in her recovery. The exhibition also features her Astro collection, inspired by planets, stars, colour and the vastness of the universe.
