About
Leicester Cathedral hosts the Light of Stars installation of illuminated handmade stars from 31 October 2026 to 5 January 2027.
Light of Stars, created by the social enterprise Paper Starlights, fills Leicester Cathedral with illuminated handmade stars during the Advent and Christmas season. Leicester is the first English cathedral to host the installation, following its 2024/25 appearance at Bath Abbey. Visitors can explore it during Cathedral opening hours with no booking required for daytime entry, and it provides the backdrop for a programme of special events including concerts, talks and community celebrations.
