Claudia Losi. Like Cobwebs or Gold Leaf

A free exhibition of drawings, tapestries, metal sculptures and participatory installations by Italian artist Claudia Losi, opening with a performance by the artist.

Curated by Maria Hinel, this exhibition brings together new drawings, hand-embroidered jacquard tapestries from the series Oltre il Giardino, and metal sculptures by Claudia Losi. It also includes Anìmule, an installation of hybrid torn-paper images animated with light and shadow, created during Losi's workshops with two Camden schools and the SIAL school in Holland Park, alongside unfired ceramic amulets shaped in response to the children's forms. The works explore the instability of boundaries between human and animal through collective acts of making. The exhibition runs until 5 December and is open Fridays and Saturdays, 11 am–6 pm, or by appointment; the opening on 5 November, 6–8 pm, features a performance by the artist at 7 pm.
