Classic Experience - National Centre (2027)

A two-hour behind-the-scenes guided tour of the Guide Dogs National Breeding Centre, with possible puppy viewing and a sensory experience.

Visitors are taken in small groups around the UK's only breeding centre for guide dogs by volunteer guides, learning how puppies are bred and raised from before birth. The roughly two-hour tour may include viewing puppies (subject to availability), a sensory tunnel experience, walking with mobility aids, a demonstration of guide dog equipment such as harnesses, and a visit to the gift shop, with tea and coffee at the end. The tour involves a moderate amount of walking and standing and may not suit very young children; only guide dogs and guide dogs in training are permitted.
